Hired single, unemployed men between 18-25 to do forestry work, build parks, work on flood and forest fire control

WPA- Works Progress Administration
Hired people to build hospitals, schools, parks, playgrounds etc.

NRA- National Recovery Administration
Designed to enforce new codes and standards written by various industries on things like production, wages, prices, working conditions, etc.

AAA- Agricultural Adjustment Act
Government regulated farm prices, the amount of crops being grown, etc all in an effort to regulate the farming industry
TVA- Tennessee Valley Authority
Government focused on regulating this very poor area of the country through flood control, building a dam for electricity production, etc.

An act to provide for the general welfare by establishing a system of Federal old-age benefits, and by enabling the several States to make more adequate provision for aged persons, blind persons, dependent and crippled children, maternal and child welfare, public health, and the administration of their unemployment compensation laws; to establish a Social Security Board; to raise revenue; and for other purposes.
